Since joining Kirkland, Peter has been involved in the following matters:
Advising Homebase, one of the UK’s leading home improvement and garden retailers, in relation to its Company Voluntary Arrangement.
Advising a significant bondholder group of retailer House of Fraser, in relation to its Company Voluntary Arrangements and English Scheme of Arrangement.
Advising Noble Group Limited, a global commodities trading business, on its multi-billion dollar restructuring which included an English scheme of arrangement.
Prior to joining Kirkland, Peter worked on the following matters:
Advising a committee of creditors in relation to the restructuring of c.$1.3bn of debt in a European shipping group.
Advising a consortium of creditors in relation to the restructuring of c.$2bn of debt in a major Indian telecommunication company.
Advising a consortium of creditors in relation to a distressed African railway project.
Acting for a creditor in relation to the sale of distressed debt in a Ukrainian mining company.
Acting for the administrators of Maxwell Communication Corporation plc (in administration) on the closure of various administration proceedings and schemes of arrangement that had been ongoing since the early-1990s.
