Scott McMillin is a legal and business advisor with over 20 years’ experience advising private and public companies on strategic business issues, risk mitigation and internal investigations, complex commercial disputes, restructuring and reorganization, product liability, environmental and mass tort litigation, compliance, and alternative dispute resolution. He has built a nationwide commercial litigation practice representing clients in a comprehensive range of matters, including pharmaceutical and product liability lawsuits, consumer class actions, fraud and contractual indemnity claims, toxic tort claims, trade secrets, and mass tort bankruptcies. He first or second chairs trials with over $100 million at stake. He also counsels private equity clients on issues arising in private equity transactions, including risk profiles of acquisition targets, due diligence requirements, internal investigations, compliance and risk management, and disputes relating to earn outs, purchase price adjustments, working capital, breaches of representations and warranties, and fraudulent inducement.
