Representative Matters
Since joining Kirkland, Zach’s representative matters have included:
Advising Warburg Pincus LLC on the formation of its $14.8 billion flagship fund, Warburg Pincus Global Growth and companion funds Warburg Pincus China South East Asia ($4.25 billion).
Advising TPG Real Estate on the formation and fundraising of TPG Real Estate Partners III ($3.5 billion).
Advising Thoma Bravo, LLC, in its fundraising for Thoma Bravo Fund XIII, which closed at $12.6 billion.
Advising Francisco Partners on its $3.4 billion acquisition of Verifone Systems.
Advising PAG Asia Capital on the formation and fundraising of its third flagship private equity buyout fund, PAG Asia III LP, which closed at its hard cap of $6 billion.
Advising funds advised by BC Partners on its acquisition of a majority interest in United Group.
Advising Arlington Capital Partners in the successful raising of its latest fund, Arlington Capital Partners V, L.P. with total capital commitments of approximately $1.7 billion.
Prior to joining Kirkland, Zach’s representative matters include:
Advising on indirect real-estate and private equity fund structures and cross border marketing issues under the Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive.
Advising a major UK bank on a range of regulatory perimeter issues under the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 and the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 (Regulated Activities Order) 2001 following the introduction of the ‘ring-fence bank’ regime under the Financial Services (Banking Reform) Act 2013.
Advising a range of UK businesses on the requirements under the UK Financial Services and Markets Act 2000, including applications for Part 4A permissions, variations of permissions and change in control applications.
Advising a range of financial services businesses on becoming appointed representatives of UK authorised firms under the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000.
