Matteo Oliver Minuti is an associate in the London office of Kirkland & Ellis International LLP and a member of the Firm’s ESG & Impact Practice Group, which advises some of the world’s most sophisticated private equity firms, corporations, project sponsors and lenders on complex and evolving legal issues relating to environmental, social and governance (ESG) and climate-related regulatory requirements, investor demands, strategic opportunities, and voluntary reporting frameworks and coalitions.

Matteo advises across the full range of ESG legal services, including fund formation, regulatory advisory work, debt capital markets transactions (in particular green and sustainability-linked bonds), derivatives and corporate and banking transactions.

Matteo’s practice focuses on counselling clients on identifying and mitigating ESG risks across a range of compliance and transactional matters and supporting them to navigate the ESG regulatory framework. He has recently advised numerous investment managers on the application of the Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation and the Taxonomy Regulation to the categorization, investment strategy and operational risk and opportunity management programs of their alternative investment funds.

Matteo is admitted to the Italian Bar as Italian qualified lawyer (avvocato) and is an EFFAS certified ESG Analyst holder (CESGA).
