Beth Mueller is a partner in the Government, Regulatory & Investigations Group in the Firm’s Washington, D.C., office. Her work focuses primarily on white collar matters, government enforcement proceedings, and internal investigations, as well as related civil litigation.
Beth has successfully defended individual and corporate clients in a wide range of government-initiated investigations, including actions before the Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”), Department of Justice (“DOJ”), New York State Department of Financial Services (“NYDFS”), Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (“FINRA”), and other global regulators related to potential violations of U.S. securities, accounting fraud, antitrust, and anti-corruption laws. Beth also has an active litigation practice, including securities fraud class actions, shareholder derivative actions, and other business tort litigation.
Awarded the Prisoner Rights Advocacy Award (2012) and the Criminal Justice Award (2015) from the American Civil Liberties Union of Southern California
Recognized by The Daily Journal for obtaining one of California's top defense verdicts of 2014 in connection with an insider trading case
