Sharick Naqi is a senior associate in the Intellectual Property Litigation department in the Chicago office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. He focuses his practice on patent infringement litigation, with particular experience in Hatch-Waxman and BPCIA (Biologics Price Competition and Innovation Act) patent infringement litigations, and with additional experience in intellectual property due diligence and counseling. He has represented clients in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, chemical, and consumer electronics industries. Outside the context of litigation, Sharick has advised pharmaceutical and biotech companies on intellectual property aspects of corporate merger agreements and product acquisition and pre-suit diligence, including conducting pre-acquisition diligence activities, litigation risk assessments, and detailed litigation plans. Sharick also has experience working in-house though a secondment at Hikma Pharmaceuticals’ U.S. subsidiary, West-Ward Pharmaceuticals.
