Caitlin Powell Gimpel is a corporate associate in the Chicago office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. Her practice focuses on advising private equity funds and their portfolio companies on structuring and negotiating complex M&A and corporate transactions, including domestic and international mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, corporate carve-out transactions, corporate recapitalizations and equity financings, executive compensation and incentive equity arrangements, and general corporate governance matters. Caitlin has represented clients in transactions ranging in size from several million dollars to more than $3 billion dollars, in transactions focused on the software, technology, healthcare, public safety, industrial materials, payment processing, and food and consumer products industries.
