Katherine E. Rhoades is an intellectual property litigation associate in the Chicago office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. Her practice focuses on litigation, including intellectual property disputes, commercial litigation, and other complex litigation matters at both the trial and appellate levels. Her practice involves a range of technologies, including pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and mechanical systems. Katherine has experience in all aspects of litigation, including pre-filing investigation, fact and expert discovery, motion practice, trial, post-trial, and appeal.
From 2018 to 2019, Katherine served as a law clerk to the Honorable Timothy B. Dyk at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Katherine was previously an associate with Kirkland from 2016 to 2018.
While at Kirkland, Katherine has also provided legal counseling and representation for individuals on a pro bono basis, including arguing an administrative appeal on behalf of a client terminated from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Housing Choice Voucher Program, petitioning for review of administrative agency decisions, and negotiating and favorably settling administrative appeals for clients.
