Sarah Schaedler is an intellectual property partner in the San Francisco office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP where she concentrates on the intellectual property and technology aspects of complex corporate transactions, including carve-outs, mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, private equity and venture capital investments and debt financing transactions. She represents clients in a broad range of industry sectors, with a focus on software and technology driven products and consumer products. Sarah also regularly advises clients on intellectual property related transactions, including licensing (software and technology, data and content, registered intellectual property and trade secrets), software and other intellectual property development arrangements, and intellectual property transfer agreements, as well as commercial agreements (manufacturing, supply and distribution). In addition to her transactional experience, Sarah has advised clients on a broad range of operational matters, including issues relating to intellectual property registrations, data privacy related questions (from a U.S. perspective and with respect to European privacy questions) and with regards to the implementation of form agreement infrastructures.
Sarah’s international experience and legal education provide Sarah with additional knowledge on cross boarder transactions and international matters.
