Overview

Ted Ughetta is a partner in the Investment Funds Practice Group of Kirkland & Ellis LLP, and recognized as a leader in the field of alternative investment fund advisory work. Ted has broad experience in representing private fund sponsors, institutional investors, family offices, pension and endowment consulting firms, funds of funds and other participants in the alternative investment funds space. Ted advises asset management firms and private equity sponsors on all aspects of their business including the formation, marketing and management of private investment funds, the launching of new business lines, GP-led secondaries and continuation funds, and other strategic investments and transactions, as well as operational, legal and regulatory issues. In addition, Ted regularly represents institutional investors and sponsors in connection with private co-investment transactions. Ted also works with sponsors on key firm level issues including carry plan structuring and corporate governance matters. Ted’s experience includes fund formations ranging from $100 million to well in excess of $10 billion, involving private equity, venture capital, infrastructure, real assets and private credit funds.
