Isaiah VanDoorne is a corporate associate in the Chicago office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. He chiefly represents private equity sponsors and their platform companies, strategic acquirers and family offices in negotiating, structuring and closing complex business transactions — primarily mergers and acquisitions, LBOs, take-private transactions (“take-outs”), asset deals and related carve-out transactions, joint ventures, recapitalizations and minority equity investments. Isaiah’s experience also extends to complex corporate governance matters and venture-backed transactions (from early stage to exit). Isaiah is from Chicago by way of Michigan where, prior to law school, he attended Michigan State University on a varsity track and field scholarship with the Spartans.
