Matt Whited is a corporate partner in the Chicago office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. His practice primarily involves advising private equity firms and public and private companies in connection with structuring and negotiating complex business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, joint ventures and other general corporate matters.
Prior to joining Kirkland & Ellis, Matt worked in the Chicago office of another major international law firm. While in law school, Matt worked at the U.S. Department of the Treasury (Office of the Assistant General Counsel for International Affairs) and, prior to law school, worked as a page in the U.S. House of Representatives.
