The Chicago Bar Foundation (CBF) and The Chicago Bar Association (CBA) honored intellectual property associate Jordan Heinz with The Maurice Weigle Exceptional Young Lawyer Award at the Annual Pro Bono and Public Service Awards Luncheon. Each year, the CBF partners with the CBA to recognize exemplary attorneys who have used their talents and resources to improve access to justice for the less fortunate in the community. Since joining Kirkland in 2005, Jordan has contributed more than 1,600 pro bono hours. He is president of the board of directors for the AIDS Legal Council of Chicago and a member of the junior board for Chicago Volunteer Legal Services. As part of the award, Jordan can designate a $2,500 grant to the CBF-funded legal aid or public interest law organization of his choice.
