Kirkland & Ellis LLP is pleased to announce that Samantha Good has joined the Firm's Los Angeles office as a partner in the Corporate Practice Group, where she will concentrate on financing and secured transactions.

"Samantha is a very able and experienced secured finance lawyer who will expand our service offerings in Southern California and provide important support to our Los Angeles, San Francisco, Palo Alto and national transactions and restructuring practices."
Ms. Good focuses her practice on representing private equity groups, hedge funds and corporate borrowers and has also represented banks and other financial institutions. Her practice covers all areas of finance, including cross border asset-based facilities, syndicated facilities, mezzanine finance, senior/second lien facilities, acquisition financing, debtor-in-possession financings, securitization, note purchase facilities, debt private placements, complex intercreditor negotiations and out-of-court restructurings. Ms. Good's clients and transactional experience extend to Europe and Asia.
Ms. Good joins the Firm from the Los Angeles office of Sidley Austin, where she was the partner in charge of that office's Syndicated and Leveraged Finance Practice.
Ms. Good a holds a J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law (1997) where she graduated magna cum laude, and Order of the Coif. She holds a B.A. in Economics from Pomona College (1994).
