Janssen v. Celltrion (D. Mass.): Represented Hospira, Inc., a subsidiary of Pfizer, Inc., Celltrion, Inc. and Celltrion Healthcare Co., Ltd. in litigation in federal district court and the Federal Circuit related to Hospira and Celltrion’s biosimilar version of Janssen’s multi-billion dollar drug Remicade®. The case involves the first biosimilar monoclonal antibody to be approved by the FDA, and is one of the first cases filed under the Biologics Price Competition and Innovation Act (BPCIA). Obtained summary judgment in client’s favor which was affirmed on appeal.
Stack v. Abbott (M.D.N.C.): Represented Abbott in breach of contract case regarding cardiac stents.
Enerfex v. UOP (D. Del.): Represented UOP, a Honeywell subsidiary, in defense of patent infringement suit concerning membrane systems for gas purification.
Cablevision Systems Corp. v. Verizon Communications, Inc. (E.D.N.Y.): Represented Verizon in false advertising action regarding wireless Internet and successfully obtained preliminary injunction in client’s favor.
Arkema v. Honeywell (P.T.A.B.); Mexichem v. Honeywell (P.T.A.B.): Representing Honeywell in Post-Grant Review and inter-partes reexaminations of patents related to next generation automobile refrigerants. Successfully obtained two separate Federal Circuit decisions vacating and remanding case after PTAB had found patents invalid.
