Overview

Jeff Fine is of counsel in the Chicago office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP, where he concentrates on representing private equity sponsors and companies in all aspects of complex business transactions, including leveraged buy-outs of private and public companies, strategic mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures, consolidations, divestitures, initial public offerings, minority equity investments, equity compensation, and debt and equity restructuring. He has also served as lead counsel in the representation of numerous portfolio companies of private equity funds. Jeff has led transactions in a wide variety of industries including retail and wholesale sales, manufacturing, transportation and distribution, biotechnology, industrial, healthcare, energy and technology.

Jeff has handled matters on behalf of Arsenal Capital Partners, Chicago Pacific Capital, Flexpoint Ford, GTCR, KKR, Liberty Partners, Madison Dearborn Partners, Marlin Equity Partners, Platinum Equity, Ryan Specialty Group, SoftBank Corp., Sun Capital Partners, Waud Capital Partners, among others.

Jeff joined Kirkland & Ellis LLP in 1998 and was a partner of the Firm from 2000 until 2022.
