Overview

Over the past 25 years, Bob Kopecky has represented leading U.S. corporations and professional firms, as well as their officers, directors and partners, in numerous securities class actions and shareholder derivative suits throughout the United States. Robert also represents clients in SEC investigations, disputes over corporate transactions, ERISA class actions, antitrust suits, and breach of contract actions.

Among the clients for whom he has successfully defended such matters are General Motors, AbbVie, McDonald's, Baxter International, Boeing, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Ally Financial, Abbott Laboratories, First Horizon, Hospira, GMAC, Conseco, Morgan Stanley, GMIMCo, Barclay's, Hecla Mining, GTCR, and Willis Stein Partners.

Robert has tried cases in state and federal courts, and has argued appeals in the U.S. Supreme Court, numerous federal appellate courts and the Delaware Supreme Court. In addition to his litigation practice, Robert advises clients on corporate governance matters and has acted as counsel to numerous special board committees.
