Overview

Shelly Hirschtritt concentrates his practice on complex business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital investments, leveraged buyouts, recapitalizations, executive compensation and equity incentive arrangements, private financings, public company acquisitions, private equity fund formations, investments in general partners and general corporate counseling.

Shelly has represented numerous private equity funds including Accel-KKR, Clearlight Partners, Frontenac Capital, KRG Capital Partners, Lake Pacific Partners, Mountaingate Capital, Parthenon Capital and TA Associates. He also advises many portfolio companies.

Shelly is the Co-Chairman of the Firm’s Recruiting Committee. He also serves on the Firm’s Chicago Corporate Strategy Committee and the Associate Review Committee. Shelly joined Kirkland in 1998, and has been a partner of the Firm since 2004.
