Kirkland & Ellis LLP Receives 100-Percent Score on HRC’s 2014 Corporate Equality Index

Kirkland & Ellis LLP received a 100-percent score on the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) 2014 Corporate Equality Index (CEI), a national benchmarking survey and report on corporate policies and practices related to LGBT workplace equality. This is the seventh year in a row that the Firm received a 100-percent score on the CEI.

The Human Rights Campaign is America’s largest civil rights organization working to achieve lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender equality. The 2014 CEI evaluated businesses on 40 LGBT-related policies and practices, including nondiscrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive health care benefits, competency programs and public engagement with the LGBT community. Kirkland’s efforts in meeting all of the CEI’s criteria have earned the Firm a designation as a Best Place to Work for LGBT Equality.

The 2014 Corporate Equality Index rated a total of 934 businesses, including the entire Fortune 500. View the full report at www.hrc.org/cei.
