In Turnarounds & Workouts’ annual report on the bankruptcy industry, Kirkland was featured for its work on five of the largest 16 Chapter 11 filings of 2015.

Partners James Sprayregen and David Seligman were listed as debtor’s counsel to Caesars Entertainment Operating Company, Inc., which filed for bankruptcy in January 2015 with $12.3 billion in assets.

Partner Joshua Sussberg was listed as debtor’s counsel to Samson Resources Corp., which filed for bankruptcy in September 2015 with $4.2 billion in assets.

Partners Jonathan Henes, Christopher Marcus and Ryan Bennett were listed as debtor’s counsel to Sabine Oil & Gas Corp., which filed for bankruptcy in July 2015 with $2.1 billion in assets.

Partners Stephen Hessler and Patrick Evans were listed as debtor’s counsel to Patriot Coal Company, which filed for bankruptcy in May 2015 with $1.9 billion in assets.

Partners James Sprayregen and Nora Schweighart were listed as debtor’s counsel to Magnum Hunter Resources Corporation, which filed for bankruptcy in December 2015 with $1.4 billion in assets.
