Kirkland Counsels Bayou City Energy Affiliate on Sale of STACK Well Interests to Alta Mesa

Kirkland & Ellis LLP represented BCE-STACK Development LLC, an affiliate of Bayou City Energy Management, LLC, a private equity firm focused on investments in the North American upstream oil and gas sector, in its sale of certain working interests in 24 STACK wells to High Mesa, Inc., the Class B limited partner of Alta Mesa Holdings, LP. Alta Mesa then acquired the additional working interests from High Mesa, increasing production by over 4,000 BOE per day. The 24 wells were drilled and completed during 2016 under the terms of a Joint Development Agreement entered into between Alta Mesa and BCE-STACK Development. The full release is available here.
