Kirkland Represents Sycamore Partners on Acquisition of Staples for Approximately $6.9 Billion

Kirkland & Ellis LLP advised Sycamore Partners, a leading private equity firm, on its acquisition of  Staples, Inc. (NASDAQ: SPLS), a multinational office supply retailing company, for approximately $6.9 billion. The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions, including the receipt of regulatory and stockholder approval, and is expected to close by December, 2017.
