Kirkland Counsels RimRock, Warburg Pincus on $500 Million Assets Purchase from Whiting Petroleum

Kirkland & Ellis LLP advised RimRock Oil & Gas Williston, LLC and its sponsor Warburg Pincus in the agreement to purchase the Fort Berthold Indian Reservation area assets located in Dunn and McLean Counties, North Dakota from Whiting Petroleum Corp. (NYSE: WLL).  The cash purchase price is $500 million, subject to customary adjustments.  The effective and closing date of the sale is Sept. 1, 2017. The full release is available here.
