Kirkland Counsels Sentinel on $2.15 Billion and $460 Million Funds Closings

Kirkland & Ellis LLP advised Sentinel Capital Partners, a private equity firm that invests in promising lower middle market companies, on the simultaneous first and final closings of Sentinel Capital Partners VI, L.P. at $2.15 billion and Sentinel Junior Capital I, L.P. at $460 million. Total capital raised for the two new funds was $2.6 billion. The full release is available here.

The Kirkland team included investment funds partners William (Beau) Brashares, Robert Blaustein and Lina Zhou and associates Kevin Lam, Michael Ramsey and Anna Baxendale; tax partner Daniel Meehan and associate Daniel Sito; investment management partners Robert Sutton and Elizabeth Richards; and employee benefits partner Elizabeth Dyer and associate Erica Rozow.

In the past three years alone, Kirkland has advised nearly 300 private investment fund sponsors, raising more than 400 funds representing in excess of $315 billion of capital commitments.
