Private Equity International Awards 2017

Kirkland won the following four awards at the 2017 Private Equity International (PEI) Awards.

• Law firm of the year in North America (Transactions)
• Law firm of the year in North America (Secondaries)
• Law firm of the year in Asia (Secondaries)
• Law firm of the year in EMEA (Secondaries)  

This is the second year in a row that Kirkland has been honored in all of the above categories. The Firm was also previously recognized as “Law firm of the year in North America (Transactions)” at the 2014, 2012, 2009 and 2008 PEI Awards. The annual PEI awards “showcase the firms that have, in the eyes of their peers, set the benchmark during the year.” Award winners are determined by votes of readers of Private Equity International and subscribers of PrivateEquityOnline.com.

In the transactions category, Kirkland was recognized for working on more than 200 deals, including some of the largest transactions in North America, last year.

In the secondaries categories, Kirkland was honored for being involved in more than $12.9 billion of secondaries transactions across all markets in 2017, including 61 secondaries portfolio sales for an aggregate of $6.1 billion of transaction value and $963 million of European secondaries portfolio trades.
