Award Turnaround Management Association - Chicago/Midwest Chapter

Large Turnaround of the Year

The Turnaround Management Association (TMA) selected the United Airlines Chapter 11 case, the largest such case ever filed by an airline, as the Chicago/Midwest Chapter’s 2006 Large Turnaround of the Year. TMA presented key management and selected professionals with the annual award on January 12, 2007, at a Breakfast Forum at the Standard Club in Chicago.

Marc Kieselstein, David Seligman and former partner James H.M. Sprayregen were among the panelists who discussed their experience in the case, one of the largest and most complex bankruptcy cases ever filed. Other panelists included Jake Brace and Kathryn Mikells, both of the UAL Corporation, and Ira Wolfson of Rothschild, Inc. Daniel Wikel, managing director at Huron Consulting Group, moderated the panel.
