America's Top 50 Women Litigators

Over the course of two months, The National Law Journal researched, received nominations and sought suggestions from readers and prominent lawyers throughout the country to compile a list of the best women litigators in the nation.  Their initial list of 100 candidates included women with long, successful careers in representing clients in motion, trial and appellate work. The initial list of candidates was then narrowed to 50, and included in the final roster was Emily Nicklin, a senior partner in our Chicago office.  The National Law Journal had this to say about Emily, one of "America's Top 50 Women Litigators."

"Emily Nicklin is a highly regarded litigator and rainmaker at one of the nation's best litigation firms.  Nicklin has been trial counsel for Andersen Consulting, Arthur Andersen and PricewaterhouseCoopers, in numerous professional liability and breach-of-contract cases.  She won a stunning defense verdict for Andersen Consulting, in which the nursing home chain Beverly Enterprises was seeking $35 million; the jury rejected the plaintiff's claim and awarded Andersen $1.87 million on its counterclaim for unpaid fees and expenses."
