Community Ally Award

Kirkland was honored with a Community Ally Award by the Transgender Law Center for the Firm's work in expanding civil rights for the transgender community. The award was presented at TLC's sixth anniversary event, Transitioning California: Equality, Unity and Justice, in San Francisco. At the event and in connection with the Firm's work with TLC, Kirkland was also presented with a certificate of recognition from the California Assembly, and a certificate of honor and a commendation from the city and county of San Francisco.

The Transgender Law Center is a civil rights organization that advocates for transgender communities. TLC uses direct legal services, public policy advocacy and educational opportunities to advance the rights and safety of diverse transgender communities.
