Turnaround Atlas Awards

Kirkland's restructuring practice was honored at the 2011 Turnaround Atlas Awards, hosted by the Global M&A Network in Chicago.

Partner James Sprayregen was named the "Global Restructuring Lawyer of the Year."

Kirkland won the following awards:

• Pre-Packaged Reorganization of the Year (Large) for The Reader's Digest Association, Inc.
• Chapter 11 Reorganization of the Year (Large) for General Growth Properties, Inc.
• Chapter 11 Reorganization of the Year (Upper Middle Markets) for Atrium Companies Inc.

The Firm was a finalist in the following categories:

• Basic Resources Turnaround of the Year for Tronox Inc.
• Energy Industry & Services Turnaround of the Year for Flying J.
• Turnaround of the Year ($1 billion plus) for Visteon Corporation.
