1L law students who are selected to be Kirkland & Ellis Diversity Scholars will gain early exposure to one of the world’s leading law firms. In the spring, Scholars will participate in a day-long conference at Kirkland’s New York office combining unique networking opportunities with Kirkland attorneys, Kirkland clients and other Scholars representing the brightest law students from schools across the country, with a substantive look into practicing in a large law firm. Scholars will participate in interactive sessions led by Kirkland partners and take part in presentations from high-profile Kirkland clients. Participants will also receive a mentor who will be eager to support and develop them. Relationships formed during this program are designed to last throughout the Scholar’s career.  Read more about the 1L Diversity Scholars Program here.

Networking Reception with Kirkland attorneys, Kirkland clients and fellow Scholars, followed by Diversity Scholars-only dinner

Friday, March 2, 2018:
Welcome Breakfast
Keynote Speaker
Interactive trainings led by Kirkland partners
Panel discussions with Kirkland clients
Kirkland & Ellis Diversity Scholar Happy Hour

Application:
1L students are encouraged to visit our website starting on December 1, 2017, to complete an on-line application. Each applicant must upload: his/her resumé, an updated law school transcript and a brief (maximum one page) personal statement by January 24, 2018.
