After over 15 years in business continuity roles in the tech industry, Clark joined Kirkland, where he’s quickly advanced his career and broadened his skillset.

What is one unique aspect of your job at Kirkland that might surprise people?

Most people hear “business continuity” and picture emergency plans sitting on a shelf. The reality is far more dynamic. In any given week, I might be analyzing complex IT data, authoring a Firmwide policy, aligning a dozen stakeholders or presenting findings to senior leadership. My security governance role sits at the intersection of technology, risk and business strategy, and it’s constantly evolving.

How has your role influenced the Firm’s success?

My role is to ensure that when the unexpected happens, the Firm can continue delivering for our clients without disruption. That means collaborating to build the standards and framework that define how we prioritize and recover what matters most.

How have you grown in your career since working at Kirkland?

Kirkland has challenged me to apply my skills in new ways. The environment moves fast, priorities shift and problems aren’t always clearly defined. That’s pushed me to get comfortable finding clarity where there isn’t an obvious path forward. Working with leaders across departments has forced me to think beyond my own cybersecurity discipline, and the caliber of the people around me constantly raises my game.

What stands out about Kirkland’s business services professionals?

The depth of experience across our business services teams is genuinely impressive. I work daily with professionals across technology, operations, risk and administrative functions who are focused on how their work supports the Firm’s long-term success. Strong ideas are welcomed, and that makes the work better for everyone.

What would you tell others considering a job at Kirkland?

At Kirkland, you’re not fighting for a seat at the table. You already have one. The environment is complex, colleagues are sharp and there’s an expectation that everything we do is best-in-class. If you want real impact at a world-class organization, this is the place.
