Hedge Fund Market and Regulatory Update Seminar and Networking Breakfast

Please join Kirkland & Ellis and the University of Minnesota Law School for a networking breakfast and seminar on hedge fund market and regulatory trends on Thursday, February 24, 2011, at the University of Minnesota Law School.  Registration and breakfast will begin at 8:00 a.m.  This seminar will be submitted for Minnesota CLE credit.

The seminar will cover current market and regulatory developments affecting hedge funds and other private fund managers, including:

  • Dodd-Frank Act's impact on the hedge fund industry, including SEC registration of private fund managers and systemic risk reporting requirements
  • Current SEC examination, enforcement and litigation trends, including recent insider trading cases
  • Status of proposed tax law changes and accounting developments
  • New SEC pay-to-play rules and lobbyist registration requirements
  • EU AIMF Directive
