2009 Posse Los Angeles Awards Ceremony

The Posse Awards Ceremony honors distinguished young leaders who have won the Posse Scholarship. This year, the University of California, Berkeley awarded Posse Scholarships to students from the Los Angeles area. Kirkland was proud to host this event in its Los Angeles office. Kirkland associate Shani Moore Weatherby delivered the keynote address for the ceremony.

The Posse Foundation identifies, recruits and trains exceptional youth leaders from urban high schools and sends them in Posses of 10 students to top colleges and universities across the country. The Posse Foundation is a national initiative with program sites in Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York City, and Washington, D.C. Kirkland partner Marc Cohen serves on the Los Angeles Advisory Board of the Posse Foundation.
