Antitrust Developments in Complex Litigation: Where are we after Twombly, Hydrogen Peroxide, and CAFA? (BNA Audioconference)

Kirkland, in conjunction with Bureau of National Affairs, Inc. (BNA) have developed this program. This program will cover the most recent trends in antitrust litigation in light of developments in the law over the past two years. First, the panel will discuss the application of pleading standards in the period following the Supreme Court’s decision in Bell Atlantic v. Twombly. Second, the panel will cover class action trends, including continuing application of the Class Action Fairness Act, recent decisions such as the Third Circuit’s in Hydrogen Peroxide regarding the standard for class certification, along with class litigation and settlement strategies. Finally, the panel will discuss major opt-out litigation and the use of economic experts and evidence in complex antitrust class actions.
