UJA-Federation of New York Sidney Kess New York Estate, Tax & Financial Planning Conference

The UJA-Federation of New York is hosting its 40th Annual Sidney Kess New York Estate, Tax & Financial Planning Conference at the New York Hilton on Wednesday, September 9, 2009. UJA-Federation of New York raises funds to sustain the activities of more than 100 health, human service, educational, and community-building agencies. This conference will cover a variety of topics, including estate planning for real estate owners, succession planning, and postmortem tax elections available to executors.

Kirkland & Ellis partner David Handler will discuss operating agreement terms, non-tax purposes, timing of transfers, retention of control, and fiduciary duties as they relate to family limited partnerships in a presentation entitled “Structuring and Using FLPs to Safely Stand Up to Audits.”
