Princeton University's "Coming Back and Moving Forward" Conference
On October 22 - 24, 2009, Princeton University and the Association of Black Princeton Alumni hosted the largest gathering of black alumni in the University's history. Approximately 650 students, alumni, and friends of the University came together to share their experiences and to plan for future progress. The conference, titled "Coming Back and Moving Forward", was a follow-up to the 2006 inaugural conference titled "Coming Back and Looking Forward."
Kirkland associate Shani A. Moore Weatherby, a 2002 graduate of the University, was a featured speaker on the "Careers in the Law" panel on October 24. She discussed her work at the Firm as an intellectual property litigation associate and general litigation associate. She also elaborated on her work as a pro bono Special Deputy City Prosecutor through the Firm's Trial Advocacy Prosecution Program ("TAPP").
