University of Chicago Federal Tax Institute

The University of Chicago Law School is hosting its 62nd Annual Federal Tax Institute on November 6-7, 2009 at the Gleacher Center in Chicago, IL. The conference will include sessions on a variety of topics, such as tax havens and tax policy, Subchapter C and international transactions, Section 382, and publicly traded partnerships.

Kirkland & Ellis partner Jeffrey Sheffield is chairman of the event and partner Todd Maynes will speak on Friday, November 6 with an in-depth look at the different types of partnership debt restructurings in a presentation entitled "Partnership Debt Workouts: The World Goes Bizarro."
