Chicago’s Tax Planning for Domestic & Foreign Partnerships, LLCs, Joint Ventures & Other Strategic Alliances 2011

The Practicing Law Institute will hold its Tax Planning for Domestic & Foreign Partnerships, LLCs, Joint Ventures & Other Strategic Alliances 2011 from May 10-12, 2011 at the University of Chicago Gleacher Center in Chicago.  The conference will trace the partnership tax rules from the birth of the partnership through its operating life, with emphasis on tax issues and planning strategies and opportunities.  They will also focus on exit strategies and tax planning possibilities in unwinding. Topics will include "Drafting Partnership Agreements for Substantial Economic Effect" and "Tax Credit Partnerships: Energy Credit Deals" among others.

Kirkland partner Gregory Gallagher will present on the topic entitled "Formation of Partnerships Including Joint Ventures of Operating Businesses."
