The Wharton Restructuring and Turnaround Conference 2012
The Wharton School and University of Pennsylvania Law School will hold their Wharton Restructuring and Turnaround Conference on February 17, 2012 at the Union League of Philadelphia. In light of the financial burdens faced by all tiers of American government and the European Union's struggle with the sovereign debt crisis, the organizers of the Conference have chosen the theme "The Great Deleveraging -- Dealing with Debt on a Global Scale." Topics will include, "Impact of the European Debt Crisis," "Industries in Transition – Recalibrating for the Digital Age" and "Investing in an Uncertain World," among others.
Kirkland partner Edward Sassower will participate in the Legal Restructuring Panel discussion entitled "Chapter 7-Eleven: The Increasing Use of Asset Sales as a Means of Effectuating a Reorganization."
