Hot Topics in Intellectual Property: Protection of Fictional Characters
Kirkland partner Dale Cendali will be speaking at the New York City Bar event entitled "Hot Topics in Intellectual Property: Protection of Fictional Characters" on March 19, 2012, in New York City. This program will address how best to protect fictional superstars under copyright and trademark law. Presenters will discuss the intersection between copyright and trademark law in connection with character protection, review significant case law developments, and explain, from the perspective of both in-house and outside counsel, the fundamentals of fictional character registration, enforcement, exploitation, and licensing.
