Second Annual Comprehensive Conference on Litigating Class Actions
Law Seminars International (LSI) will host its Second Annual Comprehensive Conference on Litigating Class Actions on December 6-7, 2012 at the University of Chicago's Gleacher Center. This year's program, "The New Landscape After a Big Year in the Supreme Court," is designed to provide a cutting-edge and in-depth exploration of the changing world of class action litigation. The conference will include discussions on the latest developments in significant areas of the law affected by class action practice, including recent decisions concerning antitrust, securities, consumer protection, governmental investigations and labor and employment.
Kirkland partner Leslie Smith will participate in the panel "Recent Developments in Antitrust Class Actions," which will address common evidence of damages, class certification standards, Twombly issues and summary judgment.
