PLI’s Tax Planning for Domestic & Foreign Partnerships, LLCs, Joint Ventures & Other Strategic Alliances 2016
The Practising Law Institute will hold a three-day seminar in Chicago on April 26 - 28, 2016, New York on May 10 - 12, 2016, and San Francisco on June 7 - 9, 2016. The seminar will discuss partnership tax rules during the beginning of the partnership, its operating life and its wind down. Emphasis will be placed on legislative, regulatory and judicial developments in Subchapter K as well as important partnership transactions, controversies and trends.
Several Kirkland partners have been invited to speak at the event. Partner Rachel Cantor will speak on the topic of “Formation of Partnerships, Including Joint Ventures of Operating Businesses” at the Chicago seminar. The same topic will be discussed by Donald Rocap in New York. Additionally, Dean Shulman will speak on the topic of “Adjustments to the Basis of Partnership Assets (Sections 734, 743 and 754)” at the San Francisco seminar.
