PLI's Tax Planning for Domestic & Foreign Partnerships, LLCs, Joint Ventures & Other Strategic Alliances 2017

The Practising Law Institute (PLI) will hold a three-day seminar in Chicago on May 2-4, 2017, New York on May 16-18, 2017, and San Francisco on June 6-8, 2017. The program has been designed to benefit all levels of attendees and will focus on the basic framework and important intricacies of Subchapter K for the first two days and on the application of partnership taxation to specific industries including oil and gas, hedge funds, and private equity funds on the final day.

Several Kirkland partners have been invited to speak at the event. Rachel Cantor will speak on the topic “Advanced Topics in Joint Venture Formations” and Donald Rocap will speak on the same topic in San Francisco. Dean Shulman will speak on the topic of “The Umbrellas of Subchapter K” in Chicago and “Adjustments to the Basis of Partnership Assets” in San Francisco.
