Mikva Challenge Civic Leadership Awards and Benefit Dinner

The Mikva Challenge Civic Leadership Awards and Benefit Dinner will be held on Thursday, April 21, 2011 at the Renaissance Chicago Hotel. The Mikva Challenge was founded to develop the next generation of civic leaders by engaging youth and giving them a voice in the democratic process. These awards honor Abner and Zoe's legacy of serving the public with integrity and a passion for fairness for all. This year's inaugural recipients of the Abner and Zoe Mikva Civic Leadership Award are:

• Cory Booker, Mayor of Newark, New Jersey – Public Service Co-Winner 
• Jim Edgar, former Governor of Illinois – Public Service Co-Winner 
• John Levi, Partner, Sidley Austin LLP - Corporate Citizenship
• Curie Metropolitan High School, Chicago - Action Civics
