Partner Litigation

Overview

Ally Arias is a litigation partner in Kirkland’s Houston office who represents clients in complex commercial disputes across state and federal courts, arbitration and mediation, with a focus on the energy sector.

Ally’s representative experience includes matters ranging from high-stakes contract disputes and employment litigation to environmental torts and regulatory proceedings. She gained first-hand insight into the practical and business considerations that shape client decision-making from a six-month litigation secondment with a major energy conglomerate. Ally also has experience advising clients on risk related to energy infrastructure transactions, including power purchase agreements and investments in renewable energy and transmission projects.

As a first-generation attorney, Ally maintains a strong commitment to public service. She was nominated by the United States District Court for the District of Arizona, as a 2024 “Pro Bono Attorney of the Year” for her work representing a civil rights plaintiff through the discovery phase, mistrial and retrial, serving as trial co-chair. Ally has also served in leadership roles with local bar organizations and was awarded “Outstanding Board Member” by the Houston Young Lawyers Association for the 2024–2025 bar year. She currently serves on the board of the Houston Young Lawyers Foundation as a trustee.
