Sam Ash is a partner in the Investment Funds Practice Group in the New York office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. Sam’s practice focuses on the formation, establishment and operation of private investment funds and advises market participants in connection with private equity secondaries transactions. Sam has acted on behalf of sponsors ranging from emerging managers raising first-time funds of less than $1 billion to market-leading sponsors raising funds exceeding $20 billion. In addition, Sam has meaningful experience representing sponsors and investors on upper-tier transactional matters including seeding arrangements, revenue sharing transactions and other strategic platform-level initiatives.
