Overview

Mary Barnett is an associate in the Washington, D.C., office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. Her practice focuses on complex trial and appellate litigation.

Before joining Kirkland, Mary served as a law clerk to Judge Patrick Bumatay of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. She also spent many years working in the White House, serving as Special Assistant to the President in the White House Counsel’s Office and the Office of the Staff Secretary. Mary is a graduate of the University of Chicago Law School and the University of Notre Dame.
