Sofiya Bavlovych is an associate in the New York office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. Sofiya focuses primarily on the technology and intellectual property aspects of complex business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, collaboration agreements, IP licenses, and cybersecurity and data privacy contracts. She has advised clients across a broad range of industries, including technology, software, healthcare, manufacturing, consumer products and media/entertainment.
Prior to joining Kirkland, Sofiya worked as a contracts specialist in the Technology Transactions group at NBCUniversal Media, LLC, where she was the first point of contact on technology deals for various client groups, such as NBC Entertainment, Operations & Technology and Sourcing. Sofiya was primarily involved in drafting and negotiating Master Services Agreements, Software as a Service Agreements, Software License Agreements, SOWs and NDAs, and managed the company-wide NDA database.
