Tamia Beckles is a litigation associate in the Firm’s Houston office. Tamia’s practice includes commercial disputes, internal and government investigations, and regulatory enforcement actions. She has experience defending companies in lawsuits brought by the Texas Attorney General, including matters involving data privacy, product labeling, and corporate governance under the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices-Consumer Protection Act and the Texas Business Organizations Code. She has also represented clients in multidistrict tort litigation arising from industrial incidents.
She has acted as counsel in several internal and government investigations involving SEC and DOJ related matters. In addition to her commercial litigation and investigations practice, Tamia has experience in bankruptcy and restructuring matters. She has represented debtors and their affiliates in Chapter 11 cases and adversary proceedings, including achieving successful resolution of all disputed claims.
Tamia is also committed to pro bono service. She has worked in the areas of asylum, SIJS, death penalty and §1983 cases.
