Overview

Tara Blake is a litigation partner in the Houston office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. Tara represents clients in high-stakes class and mass-action disputes, particularly in product liability and healthcare litigation. Additionally, she has extensive experience defending national and international corporations in matters ranging from pharmaceutical and medical device liability to toxic torts and complex bad-faith claims.

Tara has extensive experience in mass torts litigation and has served as trial counsel in notable cases. Prior to joining Kirkland, her notable successes include obtaining defense verdicts in cosmetic talcum powder and pelvic mesh cases. Tara has also been involved in all aspects of significant litigation teams, represented major corporations in high-profile cases and held leadership roles in various organizations. She also a significant background in defending complex bad-faith claims. She is recognized by Best Lawyers in America® and Nashville Business Journal’s 40 Under 40.

Tara holds a J.D. from the University of Alabama School of Law and her B.S. from Furman University. She is admitted to practice in Alabama, California and Tennessee.
